Description

Juicy, tender chicken breasts smothered in a rich garlic butter sauce. This quick and easy dish is perfect for busy weeknights and sure to please the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high. Add chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  4. Sprinkle red pepper flakes and dried parsley over the chicken.
  5. Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the chicken breasts.
  6. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side, if desired.

Notes

Tips:

  • For extra juicy chicken, bring it to room temperature before cooking.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to retain juices.
  • For a lighter version, use half butter and half olive oil.
